Steinhafels donates hundreds of furniture items to more than 100 separate nonprofit organizations. We generally donate merchandise instead of cash. As a furniture retailer this makes sense because it allows us to make the biggest impact with our resources and expertise. Typically we donate merchandise to very needy nonprofit causes that may not receive United Way funding. These projects include shelters, halfway houses, and centers serving the homeless, battered and abused. These nonprofit organizations support people in transition trying to make a change for the better in their lives.

Our corporate charitable mission is to help furnish charitable facilities such as shelters, halfway houses, and transitional living facilities that will better daily living. This way we can help the community to the greatest extent given our resources as a company.
