Avocado®
SUSTAINABLE MATTRESSES
Avocado's dream is to be the world’s most sustainable brand — the pinnacle of certified organic mattresses and luxury bedding. They are honest about sourcing, manufacturing, and materials, adhering to the most rigorous oganic and non-toxic standard. They are Climate Neutral and Fair Trade® certified.
CERTIFIED ORGANIC
Organic mattresses made with the best natural materials: GOLS-certified organic latex sustainably harvested from our organic rubber farms; GOTS-certified organic wool, prized for its cooling and moisture wicking properties, from our herding collective; and GOTS-certified organic cotton. We own our L.A. factory where we make our certified organic beds using the finest domestic and imported materials.
MADE SAFE
Mattresses can be filled with harmful chemicals. That's why Avocado mattresses are certified to MADE SAFE® standards, which screens for 6,500+ substances that are known or suspected to harm human health or the environment. Avocado is one of the few mattress brands to meet MADE SAFE® standards.
CLIMATE NEUTRAL CERTIFIED
As a Climate Neutral Certified company since 2019, we've measured Avocado's annual cradle-to-consumer emissions, offset them by investing in climate change solutions, and take action to reduce our emissions. We also recognize our offsets and reductions aren't enough. That's why, through our partnerships with Ceres and the American Sustainable Business Network, we advocate for state and federal policies that support equitable solutions to the climate crisis.
GREENGUARD GOLD
Every Avocado latex organic mattress, topper and pillow is GREENGUARD Gold Certified for child-safe low emissions. This means they meet the world’s most rigorous emissions standards for chemical exposure and pollutants, including volatile organic compounds (VOCs). They also meet the Formaldehyde-Free Claim Verification from UL. Few brands qualify for BOTH standards.
